PROGRAMS     

"Tipsline" Since the beginning of CrimeStoppers of Jackson County "Tipsline" has assisted local law enforcement agencies with solving in excess of 100 mostly very serious crimes. The information may range from tips on homicides to where stolen property may be recovered. CrimeStoppers received 111 calls during the year 2005 a record high.

RE-ENACTMENTS     

With the co-operation of Sheriff Johnny McDaniel and his staff re-enactments are staged and presented on television to "feature" certain crimes that are of particular interest to law enforcement.

McGRUFF     

CrimeStoppers purchased the McGruff dog suit and supports the use of "McGruff" in Jackson County Schools. In addition CrimeStoppers purchases handout materials used by the School Resource Officers for their presentations.

HOME SAFETY PROGRAMS     

Working in conjunction with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, CrimeStoppers is prepared to present a home safety or neighborhood watch program to any group that may be interested.

PUBLICITY     

CrimeStoppers of Jackson County recently entered into an agreement with an advertising company to put up billboards around Jackson County to get the name and phone number out before as many of our citizens as possible. In addition, the CrimeStoppers Board of Directors has a booth at the Jackson County Fair and Sunland Fall Festival each year to hand out pencils, rulers, coloring books, and the like to school age children, and brochures to adults.
